4 to 6 September 2013 – Manchester, UK

If you are a recent graduate or final year BA/BSc level, Masters or Research degree student with ambitions of setting up a business in the UK, now is the time to grab an exclusive place at the Entrepreneurs’ Festival. Our CEO Jennifer Sheridan is delighted to confirm that she will be mentoring and speaking at the Festival. Whether you are being educated in the UK as an international student, or are based somewhere else in the world, you are invited to join other talented, bright young people in Manchester in September this year. The Festival will boast a truly global community as it will bring together peers with similar ambitions from around the globe.

The Entrepreneurs’ Festival will offer hands on experience of what it’s like to be a young entrepreneur in the UK. The bespoke programme will involve working in teams to learn about how to set up and run a business. There will be a great line up of speakers as well as the opportunity to hear and to be mentored by inspiring UK-based entrepreneurs, like our CEO. This means exclusive access to insight and advice from entrepreneurs like our CEO whose success stories started in the UK.

The Festival has a limited capacity, so please do apply without delay, online at www.entrepreneursfestival.ukti.gov.uk.  For more information about UK entrepreneurs visit www.ukti.gov.uk

The Festival is being organised by UKTI, the government organisation that helps international entrepreneurs – from recent graduates to experienced business leaders – to establish and expand their businesses in the UK.

The event, which opened with an intro by Maxine Benson MBE and Karen Gill MBE, the co-founders of everywoman Ltd., and a keynote by Anka Wittenberg (Global Diversity and Inclusion Officer, SAP), took place at Cisco London - see photos of the event. If you missed out on June's Leadership Academy, we encourage you to attend October's Leadership Academy - you won't be disappointed! You can find more information about it and register here.

The 2013 Academies focus on personal development – an essential consideration for any woman wishing to advance her career. Research commissioned by Alexander Mann Solutions and everywoman in 2012 found that although 80% of female middle managers wanted to progress, they did not prioritise their own training and development. The reality is that promotion opportunities do not just happen – you need to take stock and look at the bigger picture to take control of your career. These Academies will enable you to determine your future in this dynamic and exciting profession.
